Nice things happen to me in Sweden – Voting in my first election

I went to the polls on Sunday to cast my votes in my first election in Sweden. The entire voting process was so simple.

In front of my polling place

I did not have to register to vote, as a citizen a received my voting information in the mail.

The ballots

I could choose from 4 places to vote as well as the option to vote by mail and vote early in different shopping malls.

Making my choices

Had I been out of Sweden I could have voted at a Swedish embassy.

Done! My ballots are cast.

That is extremely nice. A simple voting process is not just nice, it is crucial ensuring a high voter turnout. Nice things happen to me in Sweden.
